I met Maramis at one of my shows in Las Vegas. Her allure was that of a fairy
draped in gossamer. We had to meet. Backstage, I discovered that her radiance
came from within her as well as her outward persona. Her lilting voice carried
an insight to life that few women possess.
As years passed, I have watched Maramis transform into a
cutting edge writer, a huntress of sorts, netting abandoned feelings into gilded
cages of words. Her poetry paints pictures of emotions trapped in us all. She
has a way to free these feelings by giving them life through her uncanny
perception and mastery of language.
As delighted as I was to present some of the finest
underground performing artists to Las Vegas –
Nirvana, 9-Inch Nails, Richard
Elliot, Hiroshima, Clara Ward Gospel Singers and Concrete Blonde, to name a few
– it is with the same excitement that I present this beautiful poet, Maramis, to
you now...
